Website · Custom build with owner administration

Laura Silverfire

One page, three offerings, and an admin the owner uses without a developer.

Laura Silverfire writes, coaches English and edits video. She needed one public page that presents all three, collects newsletter sign-ups and enquiries, and lets her change text and imagery herself. Kroventra designed, built and hosts the site; Laura edits it.

The brief

What was fixed before the build

Three offerings, one story

Author, English coach and video editor had to read as one person, not three businesses. The page is a single narrative with a services block titled “Three offerings”.

Owner editing without a CMS login maze

Laura wanted to correct a sentence or swap a background in minutes. Requirement: every visible text and both backgrounds editable from one admin screen.

Capture, not just presence

Newsletter sign-up and a contact route were required on the page; the site had to work as the destination for her social profiles.

Fast on a phone

Dark theme, WebP imagery and no framework: the page is static HTML with one small script for the editable content.

Delivered

What the site does

Owner administration

A protected /admin page backed by Supabase. Eighteen text fields and the two background images are stored as content keys; the public page reads them on load, so a saved change is live immediately with no deploy.

Conversion functions

Contact form, newsletter section, direct e-mail link (hello@) and Instagram link. Submissions reach Laura; nothing is routed through Kroventra.

Hosting and security

nginx on Kroventra’s server with HTTP/2, HTTPS and HSTS, content-type, frame and referrer protections, gzip, 30-day caching for images and fonts and always-fresh HTML.

Preview gate

Until launch the site answers with a “coming soon” page unless the visitor has an access code or arrives from kroventra.com, which grants a 24-hour preview.

Ownership and support

Who owns what, and what was not measured

Laura owns the domain, the content and the delivered code; rights transfer on final payment under Kroventra’s standard terms. Hosting and mailboxes are optional monthly services, cancellable with one month’s written notice as set out in our terms.

Kroventra maintains the server, certificates and the admin’s Supabase connection. Content changes are Laura’s; structural changes are quoted separately.

No traffic, sign-up or enquiry figures are published here: the site is in pre-launch preview behind the gate, and we only publish outcomes a client has approved.
